Computer Vision Syndrome

Home \ Our Exams \ Computer Vision Syndrome

You spend lots of time in front of a computer at work, home or school. Do your eyes feel strained? Do you suffer from a combination of headaches, burning eyes, blurred vision, or neck and shoulder pains? You could have "Computer Vision Syndrome."
Help yourself: follow the 20/20/20 Rule. Every 20 minutes, take an eye break and look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Blink and produce some tears, and give your eye muscles a chance to relax. Also, decrease glare by adjusting your computer monitor.
Let us help: an eye exam and discussion with your Optometrist will identify the best ways to eliminate your computer vision problem. You may benefit from specialized office or computer lenses. To reduce glare, those lenses should also have an anti-reflective coating.
